Beetroot Pulao


A Sooper Dooper Healthy Lunch Box Recipe which is very delicious, colourful and attractive. An easy way to make your kids to eat Beetroot which is full of minerals, vitamins and packed with powerful anti oxidants....

Ingredients for making Beetroot Pulao:


Boiled Basmathi rice or Ordinary rice from 2 cups of rice
Grated Beetroot from 2 beetroots
Finely chopped garlic 2 tea spoons
Slitted green chillies 4 or 5
Pepper powder 1/2 tea spoon
Cumin seeds 1/2 tea spoon
Salt to taste
Cloves and Cinnamon 1/2  tea spoon powdered
Butter 2 tb spoons
Oil 1 tb spoon
Coriander leaves and roasted peanuts 1 tb spoon for garnishing



How to make Beetroot Pulao?


Heat a broad pan with butter and oil. Saute it with cumin seeds. Once they splutter fry onions, garlic and green chillies in medium flame for 2 minutes.
Now add the Pepper powder, salt, clove and cinnamom powder and give a stir.










Now add the grated beetroot and stir well.
Let it get cooked in medium flame for 3 to 5 minutes.
Now add the boiled rice and stir gently.
Garnish with coriander leaves and peanuts.
Pappads or crisps work out well as side dish.
