Hot and Spicy Pumpkin Chutney

Ingredients for making Spicy Pumpkin Chutney:


Chopped yellow pumpkin pieces from 500 gms of pumpkin


Tomatoes finely chopped from 2 tomatoes

Onions chopped finely from 1 onion

Red chilli powder 2 tea spoons or Sambar Powder 2 tea spoons

Coriander seed powder 2 tea spoons

Oil  3 tb spoons


Mustard seeds , Urad dal, Hing powder 1//2 tea spoon  and Curry Leaves for seasoning


How to make Spicy Pumpkin Chutney?


Heat a pan with 2 tb spoons of oil.

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fry the pumpkin pices in medium flame till the colour changes.

Then add the tomatoes and salt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  



 

Keep frying till the pumpkins are half cooked or soft.

Now add the powders mentioned and stir well.

Allow them to cool.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Grind to a coarse paste in the mixie. Small chunks should be there. It should not be a smooth paste.

Now heat the kadai with 1 tb spoon of oil.

Do the seasoning with the items given.

Add the onions and fry well.

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now add the paste and stir for 3 to 4 minutes.

Now the yummy chutney is ready.
