Nellai Sambar / Tirunelveli Sambar

The cuisine of Saiva Pillais of Tirunelveli is very unique, special and tasty. I have learnt many of the Nellai Recipes from my colleagues in these 25 years and make them regularly. Many of the recipes like Uluthan kali, Uluthamparuppu sadham, Ellu thogayal, Kootan sadham, Thuvaram paruppu sadham, Pulli illa curry, Sodhi kuzhambu, Inji Pachadi are healthy, delicious and very special. I came to know about this Vellirikkai Dosa through a guest who visited us recently from Mangalore. She was telling about varieties of Dosa they make out of different veggies. One among them is Vellirikkai / Cucumber dosa. Since I had the Cucumber in hand the very next day I tried this Cucumber dosa. It came out very well and I was so happy that I learnt a new and tasty recipe which is also very easy. Cucumber Dosa doesnot need fermentation and can be made very easily without any flaw.
