Rawa Tomato Bath (Semolina Tomato Bath)

An easy, simple and comfortable breakfast which can be made in just 10 minutes. You can make it more healthy using Wheat rawa. I make this only with tomato without onions to get the full taste and flavours of ginger and green chillies. Any pickle or sugar is a good combination to this bath and you don't need to spend time in making a special side dish for this...

Ingredients for making Rawa Tomato Bath:


Rawa / Sooji / Semolina  250 gms (2 cups)
Chopped tomatoes from 3 tomatoes
Finely chopped ginger and green chillies 1 tea spoon each
Curry leaves and corainder leaves
Oil 2 tb spoons
Mustard seeds, urad dal and chana dal for seasoning
Hing powder 1/4 tea spoon
Water  3 and1/2 cups (If using Wheat rawa use 4 and 1/2 cups)



How to make Rawa Tomato Bath?


Heat a pan with oil.
Do the seasoning with mustard seeds and dals. After they become brown add the curry leaves and hing powder, green chillies and ginger.










Then put the chopped tomatoes in it and add required salt.
Let them fry in medium flame till the tomatoes get mushy.
Then put the rawa in to the pan and fry in medium flame for 3 minutes.
Pour the water in to it.
Stir well.
Keep the flame to low.
Close the pan with a lid.











Let it get cooked for 8 to 10 minutes.
Switch off the stove.
Garnish with coriander leaves and cashews and serve with Lemon Pickle.

Note:If you are making for guests or kids you can add ghee instead of oil.
