Ingredients for making Nuts and Sesame Balls:
Black Sesame seeds 200 gms
Finely chopped nuts like almonds, pistachios and cashews 3 tb spoons
Green cardamom Powder 1/4 tea spoon
Finely chopped dates 2 tb spoons
Palm Jaggery powder or Brown sugar or Jaggery Powder 4 table spoons
How to make Nuts and Sesame Balls?
If you are using good quality organic sesame seeds no need to wash. Or else transfer the sesame seeds to a filter with fine net and show it in the running tap. After the water drains out completely fry it.
In a pan dry roast the sesame seeds till they splutter well. Keep them aside to cool down.
Transfer the sesame seeds, powdered Jaggery and the dates to a food processor or blender and give out few turns.
Transfer them to a wide bowl. Add the chopped nuts and cardamom powder to it. Mix well. The Jaggery while running in the blender with sesame seeds gives out moisture and makes the stuff lightly sticky.
So easily you can make small balls out of it and store in a dry container.
