Ingredients for making Chewy Nutty Energy Balls :
- Red Poha / Aval / Beaten rice flakes 3 cups
- Sesame seeds / Ellu 2 table spoons
- Seedless Dates 20
- Fig fruits / Aththi Pazham 10 (Optional)
- Dry grapes / Raisins / kismis 2 table spoons
- Almonds / Badam 20
- Roasted groundnut 3 table spoons
- Powdered jaggery or Brown sugar or Palm sugar 1 cup
How to make Chewy Nutty Energy Balls?
In a pan dry roast Poha till it becomes hot and transfer it to a plate.
Then roast the sesame seeds till it splutters and transfer to the plate with poha.

Powder the poha and sesame seeds to a coarse powder like semolina / rawa.
Put them in a broad bowl.
Powder the almonds and roasted ground nut very coarsely and add to the bowl.
Now cut the dates and fig fruit to small pieces and grind them in the blender.
Put that paste also in the bowl.
Add the dry grapes to the bowl.
Heat a pan with 100 ml water.
Add the powdered brown sugar to it.
Let it to boil till it reaches to thick syrup consistency.
Add the syrup to the bowl with all ingredients and blend well with a wooden ladle.
Grease your palms with ghee or butter or oil and make small balls.
Store in air tight box and relish the balls
