Here is the simple recipe of the delicious choco burfi to start off the New year with a sweet note...

- Yields: 30 to 40 pieces
Ingredients for making Choco Burfi:
- Besan flour 1 cup
- Full cream milk 1/2 cup
- Condensed milk 1/2 cup
- Grated coconut 1 cup
- Sugar 2 cups
- Finely chopped nuts like cashews, almonds and pistachios 1/2 cup
- Coco Powder 2 table spoons
- Ghee / Clarified butter 1 cup
How to make Choco Burfi?
Take one or two plates with atleast an inch of height, grease them with ghee well. Sprinkle two table spoons of chopped nuts on the greased plate and keep aside.
Heat a broad and heavy bottomed pan and roast the besan flour for few minutes without butning till nice aroma comes in a medium flame and switch off the stove.
Wait till it cools down well.
Now add all other ingredients except the chopped nuts to the pan that has roasted flour.
Mix well and dont bother if it has lumps.
Switch on the stove.
In due course you can notice the lumps vanishing out.
When the stuff melts well and and again starts to get thickening add the chopped nuts to it and keep stirring.
When the stuff becomes tight like a dough, little looser than the roti dough pour it on the greased plates and level them with a greased cups bottom or a spatula.
Wait for 5 minutes.
With a knife make pieces of desired size and shape.
The yummy choco burfi with the crunchy bites of nuts is ready to celebrate the festive occasion.
