Pattani Sundal made of Dried Green Peas is a very tasty Sundal loved by all. Though we make it on any one eveing of the Navaratri days, Pattani Sundal is also a delectable evning snack to have with coffee or tea.

Ingredients for making Pattani Sundal:
- Dried Green peas 250 gms
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon
- Asafoetida powder 1/4 teaspoon
- Oil 2 tb spoons
- Mustard, urad dal for seasoning
- Slitted green chillies 2
- Grated ginger 1/2 teaspoon
- Curry leaves few
- Coconut 3 tb spoons
- Sambar powder or Red chilli powder 3/4 teaspoon
How to make Pattani Sundal?
- Wash and soak the Dried Green peas over night or for 8 hours.
- Pressure cook with salt and turmeric powder to 6 or 7 whistles.
- Heat a pan with oil and do the seasoning with mustard,urad dal, curry leaves,turmeric, asafoetida and green chillies.
- Add the boiled green peas and stir for a while.
- Sprinkle handful of water and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame till the water becomes dry.
- Add the coconut stuff and mix well.
- Switch off.
- The tasty Pattani Sundal is ready.
