Ingredients for making Karthigai Pori Urundai:
- Aval Pori / Puffed Rice 1 litre ( 4 cups)
- Jagerry Powder 250 ml ( 1 cup)
- Finely chopped coconut 3 tb spoons
- Green Cardamom Powder 1/2 tea spoon
- Water 150 ml
- Ghee 2 tea spoons
How to make Karthigai Pori Urundai ?
In a pan heat ghee and fry the coconut pieces to golden brown and keep aside.
Boil the water and add the jagerry.
Once it dissolves, filter and again boil the jagerry water.
Keep aside the Pori in a broad pan.
When the syrup starts to thicken, drop a teaspoon of the syrup in a bowl of water.
You shoud be able to collect the syrup and roll like a all.
At this stage switch off the syrup.
Pour it around the Pori adding cardamom powder and coconut pieces.
Mix well with a ladle.
Once it becomes warm enough from very hot stage, grease the palm with ghee and make balls out of it.
