Poha Chat with Red Guava and Dry fruits


I made this at home last month when I was in the process of making  thirty iron rich recipes to be published in a monthly magazine. A nutritious breakfast or chat that is rich in iron and vitamin c suitable . Now whenever we buy Red guava it has become a regular menu in our family.  A bowl of this chat is more than enough for complete breakfast...

How to make Poha Chat with Red Guava and Dry fruits:


In a broad bowl add 2 cups of Poha / Aval / Rice flakes, 1 table spoon of raisins, Finely chopped date fruits, Finely chopped Almonds and figs if you have , some pomegranates, chopped cucumber pieces, Red Guava pieces, 1/2 tea spoon pepper powder, salt a pinch, 1 tea spoon lemon juice and mix well. Serve this crunchy chat in cups. The healthy chat is ready.


Vitamin C enhances our body's  aborabtion of more iron. Red guava is very rich in Vitaminc and The Poha is one of the riches source of iron. I used poha / Aval made from red rice that is Samba aval which is more healthy.
