- Thinai (Foxtail Millet) 1 cup
- Urad dal 1/4 cup
- Chana dal 1/4 cup
- Thur dal 1/2 cup
- Ginger a small piece
- Green chillies and Red chillies 2 each
- Onions 2 (Optional)
- Curry Leaves

Can I make this with samai arisi and Kodo millet? Do v hv to grind onion along with the millets?

Deleteyes you can very well do like that. In that case you add moong dal instead of thur dal to get softer. Because if you add these two millets together, the adai will get dry fastly.
It is up to you to grind the onion or to add the finely chopped onions while making adai. If you dont have time to chop them, just grind them to get the flavor.
