Capsicum Rice

Capsicum Rice or Capsicum Pulao is the tasty and flavorful rice which is a perfect Lunchbox recipe too. It is a fast, simple, quick and easy recipe. There is no doubt that you will love this comfort  meal for Lunch.....

Ingredients for making Capsicum Rice:

 



  

Butter or Ghee and Oil  2 table spoons each

 

Chopped Capsicum from 3 Bell peppers

   
Chopped Onions 1 bowl

Green chillies 3 or 4

 

Ginger a 2 inch piece

 

Chopped Garlic 1 table spoon

 

Cumin Seed 1 1/2 tea spoon

 

Crushed Cloves and Cinnamon 1 1/2 tea spoons

 

Boiled Rice from 2 cups of raw rice

 

Salt to taste







Method for making Capsicum Rice

 

 


1. In a mixie jar grind ginger and green chilli and keep aside



2. Heat a Pan with ghee and oil. Saute it with cumin seeds. Add the crushed cloves and Cinnamon. Fry Garlic and then onions till become transparent.



3. Add the ginger, chilli paste and salt and fry for few minutes. Now add the Capsicum and stir for 3 minutes. It should be half boiled and hence don't over cook.



4. Now add the boiled rice and mix well.


 

5. Have this delicious rice with Potato Stir Fry and Onion Raitha.




This can also be served in parties with Babycorn masala or  Paneer masala.
