Tofu Cabbage Pulao

Have you ever tried out this wonderful combination in rice? If not just try this simple and yummy pulao which is very good for health and ideal for lunch box too. An interesting recipe to make your kids to love cabbage...

Ingredients for making Tofu Cabbage Pulao;


Basmathi Rice 250 gms
Tofu (Soya Paneer) 100 gms
Finely chopped green chillies, Garlic heads and Ginger 1 tea spoon each
Thinly sliced Onions 1
Thinly sliced Capsicum 1
Thinly sliced Cabbage 250 gms
Cumin seeds 1 tea spoon
Cloves, Cinnamon sticks roughly crushed 1 tea spoon
White pepper powder 1/2 tea spoon
Butter 1 tb spoon and oil 1 tb spoon
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Salt to taste




How to make Tofu Cabbage Pulao?


Cut the tofu to small cubes and shallow fry them to golden brwon in oil and keep aside.
Wash the Basmathi rice and drain the water and keep the rice aside.
Heat a broad Pan with Butetr and Oil.












Saute it with cumin seeds and after they splutter add the onions and capsicum and fry for 2 minutes.
Then add the clove cinnamon powder and white pepper powder and fry well.
Now add the chopped cabbage and fry for few minutes in medium flame adding required salt.
Now transfer the washed rice and give a gentle stir.























Pour water in the ratio of 1:2 . That is two times to the measurement of rice.
Keep the flame to minimum and close the pan with a lid.
Let it to cook for exactly 15 minutes.
Switch off the stove.
Allow resting time for 5 more minutes.
Now add the fried tofus to the stuff and mix gently
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
