Microwaved Gooseberry Pickle (நெல்லிக்காய் ஊறுகாய்)




Ready to eat micro waved pickle with Less oil and rich in Vitamin C.

 


 

Ingredients for making Gooseberry Pickle




Goose berries 20

Red chilli powder 4 tea spoon

Salt

Gingelly oil 2 tea spoons

Roasted fenu greek powder 1 tea spoon (Roast fenugreek in a pan without oil to golden brown and powder it)

Hing 1 tea spoon



Method for making Gooseberry Pickle:






Wash the gooseberries and microwave them for 5 minutes. 

Leave it in the oven for few minutes and again microwave them for 3 minutes. 

Take them out. They look cooked and soft.

Add all the other ingredients except fenugreek powder and mix well with a spoon. 

Again microve them for 5 minutes. Take them out and add fenugreek powder and mix well. 

The pickle is ready now. Keep them in refrigerator and use.


(It is good for health to use earthen pots in the microwave oven)
