Ingredients for making Easy Spicy Veg Briyani:
Basmathi rice 2 cups
Vegetables like beans, carrot, potato, cauliflower, turnip 1 bowl
Chopped onions from 2 onions
Bay leaves 2
Cardamom 1, cloves 6 and cinnamom sticks 1 inch roughly crushed 1/2 tea spoon together
Oil 2 tb spoons
Ghee 2 tb spoons
Salt to taste
Things for grinding:
Chopped tomatoes from 2 tomatoes
Chopped onions from 2 onions
Garlic pods 10
Ginger a piece of 2 inch size peeled
Hand ful of fresh cilantro and mint leaves washed cleanly
Fennel seeds 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon
Red chilli powder 1 tea spoon
Green chilli 2
Coriander seed powder 2 tea spoons
Fresh curd 100 ml
How to make Easy Spicy Veg Briyani?
Wash the basmathi rice drain the water and keep aside.
Heat a pan with oil and ghee.
Drop the bay leaves in to it.Add the crushed spices too..
Fry the chopped onions to light brown.
Pour the ground masala and fry till the raw smell goes and it becomes thick.
Transfer the soaked rice in to the pan and stir gently.
Add required salt.
Pour 4 cups of water in to the pan and stir.
Close the pan with a lid and keep the flame to low.
Switch off the stove.
Leave it undisturbed for 5 more minutes.
Meanwhile fry bread pieces in ghee or oil for garnishing.
Now open the pan and stir gently.
Garnish the bread pieces and serve hot with simple onion Raitha

DeleteMy one cup is 200 ml ... If you are using 250ml cup then go in for one big soup bowl of veggies. Anyway no restricts to the quantity of veggies to be added.. The more u add, the more healthy it is..
