Ingredients for making Carrot , Tomato and Onion Chutney / Dip :
Carrots 2 Onion 1 Tomatoes 2 Red chillies 4 Shredded Coconut 3 table spoons Salt to taste Oil 4 tea spoons A small piece of tamarind Asafoetida powder 1/4 tea spoon Mustard seeds for seasoning
How to make Carrot , Tomato and Onion Chutney / Dip?
Wash the carrots well and remove the top portion.
Scrape it and keep aside.
Finely chop onion and tomatoes.
Heat a pan with 3 tea spoons of oil and fry onion, tomato pieces and red chillies till the tomato pieces become mushy.
Add the carrot to it and fry for two more minutes and switch off the stove.
After the stuff becomes cold, add coconut, tamarind, salt and asafoetida to it and grind to chutney in a mixie.
Heat 1 tea spoon of oil and do the seasoning with mustard seeds and curry leaves and add to the chutney.
