Very easy snack that can be made with available ingredients at home is this Ring Murukku. I make this murukku in advance and store to distribute this to kids in pockets during Navaratri when they come home along with Sundal.

Ingredients for making Ring Murukku / Andhra Murukku :
- Raw rice flour 4 cups (500 gms)
- Moongh dal / Paasi paruppu 3 table spoons
- Red chilli powder 1/4 tea spoon or as per taste
- Oil 2 table spoons or Butter 1 table spoon
- Asafoetida powder 1/2 tea spoon, Sesame seeds 2 tea spoons
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
How to make Ring Murukku / Andhra Murukku?
Heat a broad pan . Add the moong dal and 8 cups of water.

Now keep the flame to medium and add the rice flour to the pan and stir well.
Once the stuff becomes thick switch off the stove. Add sesame seeds.
In a damp cloth transfer the stuff.
The dough inside the bundle would have become lump free and soft.
Take small gooseberry size of dough on a your greased palm and roll them to small thin strings.
Bring the edges together to form rings.
Heat oil in a pan and fry them to golden colour and crispy.
