How to make Ring Murukku / Andhra Murukku?

Heat a broad pan . Add the moong dal and 8 cups of water.

Once they start boiling well add salt, oil / butter, red chilli powder and asafoetida to the pan.
Now keep the flame to medium and add the rice flour to the pan and stir well.

Once the stuff becomes thick switch off the stove. Add sesame seeds.
In a damp cloth transfer the stuff.
Bring the edges of the cloth to the centre like a bundle and now knead the dough well with hands.

The dough inside the bundle would have become lump free and soft.
Take small gooseberry size of dough on a your greased palm and roll them to small thin strings.

Bring the edges together to form rings.
