Spicy Cauliflower and Potato Curry

A No Onion, No Garlic but spicy, hot and yummy curry that tastes delicious with any rice and roti or chapathi. A two in one side dish for lunch and dinner.

Recipe for making Spicy Cauliflower and Potato Dry Curry:


Pressure cook 4 potatoes , peel the skin, cut them to small pieces and keep aside.
Boil a cauliflower in water adding salt. Remove the stems and keep the small florets aside.
Grind 2 green chillies and half an inch piece of ginger to coarse paste in a blender without adding water and keep aside.














Heat a pan with 3 to 4 table spoons of oil.
Do the seasoning with 1 tea spoon of cumin seeds (Jeeragam)














Once they splutter add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt to the oil and mix well.
Add the chilli paste too.
Put the cauliflower florets and potato pieces to the pan and mix gently.














Sprinkle some cumin seed powder, Garam masala powder, 1 tea spoon of coriander powder and add some curry leaves.














Let them get fried in medium flame with ocassional stirs.
Once they are well roasted add 2 tables of gram flour / kadalai maavu and mix well.














Let them get roasted further for five more minutes in medium flame.
Switch off the stove.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
