Ingredients for making Baby Potato Kaara Curry:
- Pressure cooked Baby Potatoes 1/2 kg
- Oil 6 Tb spoons
- Coriander seeds 4 Tspoons
- Chana dal 3 Tspoons
- Red chillies 5
- Pepper & Cumin Seeds 1 Tspoon each
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tspoon
- Hing / Asafoetida Powder 1/4 Tspoon
- Mustard Seeds and Urad Dal 1 Tspoon
- Curry Leaves and Coriander Leaves
How to make Baby Potato Kaara Curry?
Heat a pan with 3 tea spoons of oil and fry the coriander seeds, chana dal, red chillies, Pepper and cumin till they become golden brown.
Once they become cool down, powder them to a coarse stuff and keep aside.
Heat the remaining oil in the pan and shallow fry the boiled potatoes till they become well roasted and the outer crust becomes crispy.
Transfer the potatoes to a bowl, leaving the oil in the pan.
Do the seasoning with musatrd and urad dal.
Add curry leaves, salt, turmeric and hing.
Add the potatoes and in medium flame fry for 2 more minutes.
Mix well.
Let them get fried in sim for 5 more minutes.
Switch off and garnish with coriander leaves.
