Ingredients:
Thinai - 1 cup(Foxtail milet)
Tuvar Dal - 1/2 cup
Channa dal - 1/2 cup
Urad dal - 2 tablespoons
Red Chillies - 8
Asafoetida - a pinch
Curry leaves - few
Method:
Soak thinai, tuvar dal , channa dal and urad dal together for 3 to 4 hours along with red chillies.
Grind it coarsely like usual adai batter with required salt. Do not grind into a smooth paste.
Now add asafoetida, curry leaves and mix well. Heat a dosa tava and smear oil. Pour the batter and spread in circular motion.
Cook on both sides with required oil and remove from tawa.
Serve hot with chutney of your choice.
Best combination for adai is aviyal.
You can also have it with jaggery or ginger chutney.
