Tapioca Spicy Stir Fry (Maravalli Kizhangu Fry)

Tapioca called as Kappa Kizhangu and Maravalli Kizhangu is the regular part of diet in Kerala Cuisine. Chips, Curry, Adai and Kootu and Vadai can be made using this. This Tapioca stir fry is the fine side dish for Rice varieties. It tastes very delicious.

Ingredients for making Tapioca Spicy Stir Fry:


Tapioca  1 k.g

Chopped Shallots (Small Onion) 1/2 cup

Chopped Garlic 2 tea spoons

Chilli powder 2 tea spoons

Coconut oil 1 table spoon

Mustard seeds

Urad dal 1 tea spoons'

Chana dal 2 tea spoons

Turmeric powder

Curry leaves

Salt to taste



Method for making Tapioca Spicy Stir Fry:


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Peel off the skin from the tapioca. Cut them into cubes. Boil them in water with salt and turmeric powder. When the veggies become soft drain the water and keep the vegetable aside.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Heat a pan with Coconut oil. Saute it with mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal. Add chopped shallots and garlic and fry well. Then add the chilli powder to it. After a stir add the boiled Tapiocas and fry well.
