Chilli Idli

Do your kids complain that they are bored of eating idli as tiffin often? We all know that Idli is the healthy and traditional food and how can we compromise it ? Don't worry. Try this method and make idlis more attractive and often sought recipe. This can also be taken for lunch box...



Ingredients for making Chilli Idli:

 


Idlis 10

Chopped Onions

Chopped Tomato

Slitted green chillies 2

Chopped Capsicum or Green peas whichever in stock 2 tb spoons

Coriander powder 2 tea spoons

Red chilli powder 1 tea spoon

Cumin seed powder 1/2 tea spoon

Garam masal powder 1/4 tea spoon

Salt as required

 





Method for making Chilli Idli:


With a knife cut the Idlis into small square pieces.


Heat a broad pan with 3 tea spoons of oil. Fry the Onions and curry leaves with salt till the onions become transparent.


Add the green peas and fry for a minute.

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now add the tomatoes and all the powders mentioned. Fry well till the tomatoes become pulpy.


Add 2 cups of water. When the Stuff becomes like a thick gravy add the idli pieces and mix gently.


It will absorb the masalas and get coated well.


Garnish with coriander leaves.


You don't need any side dish for this spicy idli tit bits. Kids love this very much.
