Green Chutney

This Green Chutney is a very simple recipe and a great side dish for any tiffin like Idli, Dosa, Chappathi or even Bread...


Mint Leaves**      - 2 cups 
Coriander Leaves - 1 cup
Onions                - 2
Green Chilli          - 5
Tamarind             - A small gooseberry size

**Mint Haters can reduce it to 1 cup or just do the chutney with 3 cups of Coriander Leaves


  • Heat a pan with a table spoon of Oil. Fry the onions, green chillies and tamarind for 5 minutes in medium flame and transfer it to a plate.

  • Then fry the washed and wiped green leaves just for one minute in the pan and add them to the above onion mixture.

  • After everything gets cooled grind it to chutney with required salt.

Note: A teaspoon of this Spicy chutney could be added to a cup of Raitha which becomes the best side dish for any Paratha.
