How to make Dosa batter for Oothappam?

Though ordinary idli batter can be used to make this, here I give you the simple recipe for making the batter with the mixie.

Soak 2 ½ cups of par boiled rice, ½ cup of raw rice, 1 cup of urad dal and just ½ tea spoon of fenugreek together after washing them well for 4 hours.

Grind them to smooth batter in the mixie jar adding necessary salt and keep aside.

Allow the batter to ferment overnight. Then keep the batter in the refrigerator and make the Oothappams whenever you feel like having.
