Tip# 83: Quick Evening Snack For kids (Recipe 2)

Kids love to munch this crispy and crunchy onion rings. It can be made very easily with easily available ingredients at home. I changed the recipe a little bit from the original version according to Indian Flavour....


 How to make Onion Rings?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cut the onions to thin rings as shown in the picture and keep aside.


In a broad vessel add 3 tb spoons of all purpose flour, 2 tb sspoons of besan flour, 4 tb spoons of corn flour, a pinch of garam masal powder, salt to taste and 1/4 tea spoon of baking soda and mix well.


Add water and make a smooth batter to the consistency of idli batter (Just like bajji batter)


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In a bowl take bread crumbs or rusk powder.

Dip onion rings one by one in to the batter and place them on the bread crumbs.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With the help of a fork make the onion rings to get coated with the bread crumbs well.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Deep fry them in oil to golden brown and serve with tomato sauce.
