Ridgegourd Spicy Chutney for Rice and Rotis

My cousin gave the recipe of this different chutney and after making it, the chutney has become  our favorite one. From kids to elders everyone likes this. Once you make it,  you can have it with rice and also with idli, dosa and Rotis...

Ingredients for making Spicy Ridgegourd Chutney:


Ridge gourd 2

Onions finely chopped into thin pieces 1

Tomatoes chopped 2

Sambar powder 2 tea spoons

Oil 5 tea spoons

Mustard seeds and urad dal for seasoning

Curry leaves


 

 

 

 

 

How to make Spicy Ridgegourd Chutney?


Peel of the skin and cut the vegetable into small cubes.

Heat a pan with 3 teaspoons of oil

Fry the Ridgegourd pieces and tomato pieces in medium flame till they become mashy.

Add the sambar powder and salt now and mix well.

Allow them to cool.

Give them a turn in the blender or mixie. But don't make to smooth paste.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Heat a wok with 2 tea spoons of oil and saute it with mustard seeds, urad al and curry leaves.

Then fry onion to golden brown. add the ground paste and stir all together for 2 minutes.

Switch off the stove.
