Ellu Urundai / Mithai ( Sesame Jaggery Balls)

Ingredients for making Ellu Urundai / Mithai ( Sesame Jaggery Balls):


Sesame (Til) seeds 1 cup  (Either black or White seeds)
Powdered jagerry  3/4 cup
Coarsely powdered ground nuts 2 tb spoons
Water 50 ml




How to make Ellu Urundai / Mithai ( Sesame Jaggery Balls)?


Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan till they all splutter well and transfer them to a plate.









Boil water in a pan and add the powdered jaggery. After it dissolves filter it to remove the dirts and again boil the syrup.
Till the syrup thickens and becomes sticky & glossy allow it to boil.









When you keep on stirring the syrup you feel that the syrup is becoming thick immediately keep the flame to low and add the sesame seeds and groundnut powder and mix well.
Switch off the stove and transfer it to a plate.









Grease your palm with some oil or ghee and make balls of bite-able size.
The yummy crunchy sweet is ready now.
(Adding Groundnut is optional) you can add roasted grams or any nuts of your choice if you wish.
