Dry Fruits Burfi

Ingredients for making Dry Fruits Burfi :

  • Seedless Dates 20
  • Fig fruits 10
  • Kismis fruits (Raisins) 4 table spoons
  • Flax seeds 4 table spoons
  • Almonds / Badam 20
  • Pistachios unsalted 25 to 30
  • Red Poha / Samab Aval 2 cups
  • Palm sugar or Brown sugar or Jaggery powder 5 table spoons
  • Pea nuts / Groundnuts roasted 3 table spoons


How to make Dry Fruits Burfi?

In a pan dry roast poha till it becomes hot and take it out.
Then fry the flax seeds till they burst out and put them with the poha.

Now powder the flax seeds and poha together to a coarse mixture and keep aside.
Powder the ground nut/ peanuts to a very coarse powder and keep aside.
Now put almonds and pistachios together and powder coarsely and keep aside with the kismis fruits.
Chop the figs and dates to small pieces.

Grease a plate with olive oil or peanut butter or butter or ghee and keep aside.
Heat pan with 2 cups of water.
add the palm sugar in to it and allow it boil well.
Once the syrup becomes shining and glossy consistency or becomes half in quantity keep the flame to low.

Transfer all powdered stuff and chopped items in to the pan except peanut powder.
Keep stirring all together for exactly 5 minutes.
Transfer the stuff to the plate and level the stuff with a greased falt ladle or cup.
Garnish the peanuts on them and slightly press witht he ladle.

Allow the stuff to cool down for 30 minutes.
With a knife cut them to pieces and store in air tight box.
If refrigerated it tastes more delicious..
