Shallow fried Crispy Sabudana vadas can be had as breakfast or evening snack. They can be made very easily in short time. Deep fried Sabudana Vada is a popular Maharashtra snack that tastes yummy. Ingredients for making No Fry Sabudana / Jevarisi Vadai :
- Sabudana / javarisi 4 table spoons
- Thin Poha / Aval 6 table spoons
- Well boiled and mashed potatoes 2
- Green chillies 3 and an inch of ginger (grind them together to paste)
- Crushed Pepper corns 1/2 tea spoon
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tea spoons
- Finely chopped coriander leaves hand ful
- Salt 3/4 tea spoon
- Oil for shallow frying
How to make No Fry Sabudana / Jevarisi Vadai?
Soak the Javiris /Sabudana overnight.
Drain the water out and add the sabudana in a broad bowl.
Wash the Poha / Aval in water and place in a colander. Squeeze the water out and put the Poha with the sabudana.
Add all other ingredients except oil to the bowl and knead well to a dough.
Make lemon size balls of it.
Heat Kuzhi Paniyaram / Appe pan.
Grease each crater with 1/4 tea spoon of oil.
See to it that the oil is well spread over each pan.
Place the balls in to the craters once the pan is well heated.
Now keep the flame to medium and wait for 3 minutes.
Roll the balls into the crater so that all the sides could get fried and become crispy.
After five to 6 minutes take them out.
Great variation of the vadas. Delicious and mouth watering
