Spicy Cabbage Fry

Cabbage fried with onions, tomatoes, Bell pepper and  spices give a wonderful combination for rotis, phulkhas and chappathis. It also tastes very good with plain rice. Just roll the rotis stuffing this inside and carry it out for travel or lunch box ...

 


Ingredients for making Spicy Cabbage Fry:


Thinly chopped cabbage

Onions 2 

Tomatoes 2

Green capsicum 1

Coriander seed powder 2 tea spoons

Fennel seeds( Saunf) 1 tea spoon

Red chilli powder 1 tea spoon

Slitted green chilli 1 or 2

Salt to taste 

Garam masala powder 1/2 tea spoon

Oil 1 tb spoon

Curry leaves





Method for making Spicy Cabbage Fry:

Heat the kadai with oil and saute it with fennel seeds. After it splutters fry the onions till it changes the colour. Then add the capsicum and fry for few seconds. Add all the powders and salt. Stir well and add the tomatoes. Let them to fry till the tomatoes get cooked well. Then add the cabbage and curry leaves and stir. Keep the flame in medium and close the pan with a lid. After 10 minutes remove the lid and fry the cabbage till it gets well roasted.
