Soft and Spicy Lauki / Bottle gourd Paratha

Ingredients for making Soft and Spicy Lauki / Bottle gourd Paratha:


Whole Wheat Flour 3 cups
Grated Lauki 1 cup (Suraikai/Bottle-gourd)
Salt to taste
Oil 1 tb spoon
Curd 2 tb spoons
Ajwain/Omam 1/2 tea spoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon
Cumin seed powder 1/2 tea spoon
Red chilli powder 1/2 to 1 tea spoon



How to make Soft and Spicy Lauki / Bottle gourd Paratha ?


Mix all the above mentioned items in a broad vessel well.
Add water little by little and knead to a tight dough.
Since the vegetable has water in it much water is not necessary.
No need to keep the dough aside since it will become slightly loose.






















Take lemon size balls out of it and make chapatis with the rolling pin.
Heat a tawa and cook the parathas on both sides with oil till becoming golden brown.












Any raitha or pickle goes very well with this.
Or just spread a teaspoon of butter on hot parathas, roll them and enjoy the melting paratha's deliciousness,
