Ingredients for making Narkel Naru / Coconut and Milk Ladoo:
Whole Milk 500 ml (around 3 cups)
Grated coconut 2 cups
Sugar 1 and 1/2 cups
Green cardamom powder 1/4 tea spoon
Saffron strings soaked in a table spoon of warm milk 4 strings (optional)
How to make Narkel Naru / Coconut and Milk Ladoo?
In a broad pan boil milk.
Add the sugar and allow it to boil further.
Keep stirring occasionally.
When the milk becomes thick like porridge add the coconut to the boiling milk.
When the stuff becomes like a roti dough consistency add the cardamom powder and the saffron and keep stirring.
When it becomes tight without any moisture switch off the stove and transfer it to plate and allow to cool down.
Grease your palm with ghee and make small bite size balls of it and store in a dry container.
