  • Cooking time: 05 mins
  • Serves: 2

Ingredients for making Buttermilk Poha Stir fry:

  • Poha 3 cups
  • Buttermilk with very mild sourness 300 ml
  • Oil 3 tea spoons
  • Green chillies chopped 2,  and red chilli 1
  • Hing powder 1/4 tea spoon
  • Mustard seeds, Urad dal, Chana dal for seasoning
  • Curry leaves

How to make Buttermilk Poha Stir fry?

I used thin Poha.
So no need for soaking for a long time.
Just add the buttermilk to poha and mix gently with a spoon.

See to it that there is enough buttermilk to coat the poha.
If not add some more. But the poha need not be immersed fully in Butter Milk.
Heat a broad pan with oil.
Add the seasoning items.

Once the dals become brown add chillies, turmeric powder, hing powder and curry leaves.
Add the Poha to the pan. Sprinkle required salt.
Keep the flame low and stir for some time till the poha becomes non sticky and gets roasted.

Switch off the stove.
Add any sprouts in hand or grated carrot to the stuff to get a nutty effect and serve. It doesnot need any side dish. Even a teaspoon of sugar goes very well with this.
