Moong Dal Pesaret


This easy to make  healthy and nutritious Dosa is a popular breakfast recipe of Andhra Pradesh. This can be made with green gram dal as well.

Ingredients:

Moong Dal          -    1 cup
Par boiled rice and  Raw rice together - 1/2cup
Ginger                  - 2 inch piece
Green chilli          -  2 to 3

Method:

Clean and soak moong dal for 1 hour and rice for 2 to 3 hours separately. After it is well soaked grind the rice first to a smooth batter along with ginger, green chilli and required salt. Now grind moong dal separately and mix with the rice batter. Heat a dosa tawa , smear some oil , pour the batter and make dosas. Cook on both sides. Crispy moong dal pesaret is ready. Serve it with chutney of your choice.

In Andhra they serve this Pesarat keeping Arisi Upma inside the pesarat. It is a popular combo of Andhra.

    1. Mint or coriander chutney if you like the strong flavour and tomato chutney.
