Hot n Spicy Capsicum Masala

An excellent side dish and perfect combo to have with rice and roti is this aromatic, spicy and flavourful capsicum masala coated with spice powders and roasted besan flour. The Capsicum blends with nutty and crunchy seeds and   gives awesome taste and very easy to make in minutes...

Ingredients for making Hot n Spicy Capsicum Masala:


  • Green Capsicum(Bell Peppers)  3
  • Thinly chopped onions from 2 onions
  • Roasted groundnut 2 tea spoons
  • Roasted white sesame seeds 2 tea spoons (Til seeds)
  • Kashmiri chilli powder 1 1/2 tea spoons
  • Coriander powder 1 tea spoon
  • Cumin seeds & Mustard seeds 1/2 tea spoon
  • Besan flour dry roasted in a pan to light golden colour 3 tb spoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 1/2 tb spoons


How to make Hot n Spicy Capsicum Masala?


  • Powder the groundnut and sesame seeds coarsely and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan with oil.
  • Saute it with cumin seeds and Mustard seeds.
  • Fry the onions till they become light brown. Add chopped curry leaves.
  • Now add the chilli powder, salt and coriander powder to the onion and stir well.






















  • Now add the chopped capsicums to them and stir well.
  • Don't close the pan with the lid.
  • Keep the flame to medium and allow the capsicum to fry with and cook with onions and spices.
  • In few minutes the capsicums becomes half cooked.
  • Now sprinkle the groundnut, sesame powder and stir well.
  • Add the roasted besan flour and mix well and allow the stuff to shallow fry for 3 more minutes.
  • Now the Hot n Spicy masala fry is ready.
  • You can even mix this with rice and have.
